before starting to improve the world.”

G'day... :) My name is Donna Keevers Driver and, as you can probably tell by my accent, ;) I'm an Aussie - living in Australia! :)
If you're interested in getting to know me personally, you can press on the links above - in the top right-hand corner, as well as find me on my personal website page "Hope Mountain" or my RedBubble photo site. However, I'm not here to give you 'me', but, rather, to encourage you to be you.
Hope Mountain Women is a place where we ladies can come to find acceptance and confidence, and pass such things on to others, also.
I liken this page to a virtual retreat. Because of obligation and our day-to-day life, we can't literally go to the mountain for rest, for reassurance, to find hope and so on, every time we feel the urge to, but we can slip out of our 'reality' and come here to this mountain when we need to, in order to find encouragement, peace, like-minded friends, a hand to hold, or whatever else we may need in order to keep going. (Hmm; I'm thinking a 'jokes' page may come in handy here, too! :) But I'll worry about that later...)
As you know, we only get one dance around this big planet, a dance that lasts from the moment we're conceived to the moment we take our last breath, and I for one, at the age of 48, have finally concluded that the tune we dance to doesn't have to be the same as our neighbour's, our sister's, our mother's, cousin's, workmate's, his ex's, or anyone else's.
Each of us were created as an individual, all with our own likes and dislikes, talents and dreams. These things I do not wish to take from you, with the hope of you exchanging them for a carbon copy of me or someone else, but to encourage you to dare to accept your own tune and dance well to it. I don't believe you were made in another woman's image - or another man's, for that matter. I believe you were made in God's image - which is True Love and all that is good - but beyond that you have a character all of your own. I want to help you celebrate that. I long for you to celebrate you.
I hope you'll take this journey with me, for I long to stand at the foot of the mountain one day and see you dancing freely upon it; dancing without shame, without fear, with a strong and confident knowing that you are somebody, that you are worthy of love, that you are something special, and that you are comfortable in being you.
I'll be back soon... and hope to find you here. :)
With love and respect,
Donna.

HOPE WILL LEAD US ON LYRICS - BARLOW GIRL
(Verse 1)
Rise up again
Shake off the shadows
Unlock the doors
and let hope live once more
Cause up from the ashes
oh the fire is woken
Cause those who were broken,
are becoming the chosen
(Chorus)
So lift up your eyes
Cause we're not forgotten
And hope will lead us on
Oh we pray for the dawn
and we reach for the mornin'
And hope will lead us on
(Verse 2)
Come let us see
Beyond these moments
Open our eyes, to to see the truth that You see
Cause all that we know now
When You're all we hold to
You can't disappoint us, it's safe here with You
(Chorus)
So lift up your eyes
Cause we're not forgotten
And hope will lead us on
Oh we pray for the dawn
and we reach for the mornin'
And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on
Rise up again
Shake off the shadows
Unlock the doors
and let hope live once more
Cause up from the ashes
oh the fire is woken
Cause those who were broken,
are becoming the chosen
(Chorus)
So lift up your eyes
Cause we're not forgotten
And hope will lead us on
Oh we pray for the dawn
and we reach for the mornin'
And hope will lead us on
(Verse 2)
Come let us see
Beyond these moments
Open our eyes, to to see the truth that You see
Cause all that we know now
When You're all we hold to
You can't disappoint us, it's safe here with You
(Chorus)
So lift up your eyes
Cause we're not forgotten
And hope will lead us on

And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on
And hope will lead us on
