5 For to which of the angels did He ever say: “You are My Son, Today I have begotten You”? And again: “I will be to Him a Father, And He shall be to Me a Son”? 6 But when He again brings the firstborn into the world, He says: “Let all the angels of God worship Him.” 7 And of the angels He says: “Who makes His angels spirits And His ministers a flame of fire.” 8 But to the Son He says: “Your throne, O God, is forever and ever; A scepter of righteousness is the scepter of Your kingdom. 9 You have loved righteousness and hated lawlessness; Therefore God, Your God, has anointed You With the oil of gladness more than Your companions.” 10 And: “You, Lord, in the beginning laid the foundation of the earth, And the heavens are the work of Your hands. 11 They will perish, but You remain; And they will all grow old like a garment; 12 Like a cloak You will fold them up, And they will be changed. But You are the same, And Your years will not fail.” 13 But to which of the angels has He ever said: “Sit at My right hand, Till I make Your enemies Your footstool”? 14 Are they not all ministering spirits sent forth to minister for those who will inherit salvation?
When I felt led to 'stroll through Hebrews' with my fellow sisters in mind, rather than with the desire to preach the gospel in any way, I did have to wonder what on earth I'd be able to find in there for that purpose.
I mean, I'm not an evangelist so I'm not here to bring anyone to Christ, but to occasionally walk alongside of those who already know Him, in order to encourage you to be at peace with who you are and to encourage you to receive more of the love God holds for you . It's kind of a pass it forward thing for me, with a deep desire to see all hearts walking in greater freedom while dancing about this big planet of ours. I'm not here to teach. So upon reading this passage, I'm like, "Hmmm, how can I encourage through 'this' section?!"
Then, just when I thought I'd skip it and move on, it came to me that "This 'Guy' - the greatest Being to have ever walked the face of the earth, who is above all others, loves you; He really, really LOVES YOU..." That's pretty awesome, isn't it...
The most important Being to ever walk the face of this earth loves you... just the way you are.
Jesus came as the perfect representation of God's heart. He is God's heart in the flesh - as it were. And He came for you...
Read it again, feel Him in your heart, know Him in your heart, and marvel that someone that great, someone so very wonderful and perfect, did what He did for YOU.
You are dearly loved...

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. ~*~
